Skills / Experience

Demonstrable track record in a relevant Hedge Fund or Sell Side environment, specifically, with experience in Systematic Equities Trading.

Excellent investment track record with proven ability to work in a team-oriented investment process.

Expertise in alpha research, portfolio construction, optimization, risk management, trade execution and Portfolio Management.

Recent track record, generating >$10m P&L with a Sharpe of 1.5 +

Compensation:

Comp is competitive with a base + bonus. Bonus is discretionary.

Location : New York

The Role:

Our client is looking to hire an individual to lead the build out of their cryptocurrency products desk. The role is located in New York, but will be working closely with business lines in Chicago, London, Hong Kong and Frankfurt.

The primary responsibility of this role is to build out a multi-product business incorporating cryptocurrency futures, options, OTC etc. You will be working closely with other parts of the business and play a key role in developing strategy lines that cut across and incorporate other business lines. The role will have PnL responsibility and the expectation is for sustainable growth based on profitability and expansion. Alongside this the person who comes on board will be expected to “be the face” of this line both internally and externally. It therefore essential that anyone who comes on board is comfortable with public speaking and building relationships.

Skills Required:
• Extensive experience in business development at a bank, investment fund or broker
• Strong understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and blockchain technology.
• Expert knowledge of crypto derivative financial products, including futures, options and OTC structures.
• Demonstrated understanding of underlying drivers and client segments of the crypto derivatives market.
