Introduction- QTG Consulting Limited and Data Protection

We are a recruitment agency and recruitment business as defined in the Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2013. We collect personal data from the following types of people to allow us to undertake our business:

  • Prospective and placed candidates for permanent roles
  • Prospective and live client contacts
  • Supplier contacts to support our services
  • Employees, consultants, temporary workers

The General Data Protection Regulation (or GDPR) is the framework for data protection laws in Europe. We process and store the personal data of the work-seekers and individual client contacts that opt-in or request the use our services by agreeing to our Privacy Policy or Terms of Business. We hold and store this personal data on individuals so we can efficiently retrieve it at the appropriate time to provide the work-finding and employee-finding services you request. This storage and access requirement comes in the following but not exclusive forms of:

Our recruitment service consists of, but not exclusively:

  • Screening CVs and contacting candidates to assess suitability
  • Matching candidates to employers that meet their requirements
  • Organising some or every stage of the recruitment process

So that we can accurately carry out our recruitment service, we collect the following information:

    For job contact purposes, confirmations and interviews

We will also store information relating to previous dealings with us, including job applications, email and telephone communications, job interviews and placements.

While using our website we also collect and store other data while you use our website for the features to work and to better improve our services. Where do we source your personal data from and how?

CANDIDATES:

We generally collect your personal data directly from you.  For example, we collect all of your personal data when you

  • Deal with us in person, by telephone, letter, email or via our website
  • Register with us
  • Submit any other information to us, such as a CV
  • If you complete psychometric assessments or other assessments
  • Subscribe to job alerts emails;

We also use the following channels to collect your personal data:

  • Third parties – Your Identity and Historical Data from:
  • Pre-employment screening and background checking organisations;
  • The third party suppliers, including other recruitment and employment agencies, job board providers and job aggregators and our managed service providers who are within our supply chain;
  • Your Technical, Profile and Usage Data from our analytics providers, such as Google Analytics and various job boards
  • All of your personal data where you were referred to us through a third-party employment agency;
  • Publicly available sources –we may receive personal data about you from public sources.
  • Your Identity and Historical Data from social media sites, such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook;
  • Your Identity, Contact Data from company and commercial registrars or electoral registers based inside the EU; and
  • Your Identity, from qualification and membership lists of professional bodies

Data Retention and Your rights

We will delete candidate personal data from our systems if we have not had any meaningful contact with you for seven years (or for such longer period as we believe, in good faith, that the law or relevant regulators require us to preserve your data). After this period, it is likely your data will no longer be relevant for the purposes for which it was collected.

We will consider there to be meaningful contact with you if you submit your updated CV onto our website, apply for jobs with us or we receive an updated CV from a job board. We will also consider it meaningful contact if you communicate with us about potential roles, either by verbal or written communication or engage with any of our marketing communications.

Under new data protection regulations (GDPR), we are required to keep the data we hold accurate and, where necessary, up to date. As such, we may contact you from time to time to check that the personal data is still correct. You may ask us to confirm what information we hold about you at any time, and request us to modify, update or delete such information. If you wish to access your data at any time, there will be no administration charge (unless the request is excessive) and the request should be fulfilled within 30 days. Data Storage and Processing

All of the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff in the United Kingdom, and accessed by our cloud-based CRM system. We take all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and prevent unauthorised access to, and misuse of your personal data.

Who do we share your data with?

As required under GDPR, we will only share your information to prospective employers with your express consent.

WEBSITE USERS: we will collect all of your personal data via our third-party service providers, such as Google Analytics and various job boards.

As you use our websites, we may automatically collect your Technical Data.  We collect this personal data by using cookies, server logs and other similar technologies.

You may also receive Technical Data about you if you visit other websites employing our cookies. 

REFEREES: we will collect all of your personal data from a Candidate.

CORPORATE STAFF: we will collect your personal data directly from you except where you have previously been a Candidate where we will have also collected personal data in such capacity.

OUR COOKIE POLICY
